Basketball Team

I coach an AAU basketball team for 7th graders. I love coaching these kids, but then again i want these kids to be able to have fun with sports still. Some of these kids never get a break from a certain sports. Their parents make them play year round to make them the best player they can possibly be. Honestly, I liked sports back when i was little. If you wanted to get good at a sport you played pick up games with your friends outside. You didnt pay anyone to personally train you, you got better by yourself

Osama Is Dead

Osama Bin Laden got killed today. This made me extremely happy for America especially with how our country is right now. He has caused a lot of pain and suffering to innocent people. After thinking about how great it was that he is dead and how happy i am that we got him, i though about something. Is it good for us to celebrate a death of this man? Going to the religious side, he is a son of God. And in the Bible it says to love your enemies.

Big Brothers Big Day

My big brother just turned 21 today. It is so weird thinking that now he can drink with my parents at home if he wants to now. It is weird to think that he is that old already. Me and my brother have been best friends ever since i was born. We did everything together, we even are going to the same college. I still cant believe that he is 21 now.

Little 5

I dont know if any of you went to IU this past weekend, but if you did hopefully you had as much fun as i did! I went to the wiz concert which was pretty good. After i went to one of my good friends from high school's fraternity. The houses there are absolutely huge. They make our houses here look like cardboard boxes.

Playoffs

Time for the long playoffs for the NBA. I am pulling for Chicago to bring home another championship. Derrick Rose is such a great player. Honestly, i do not think there is anyone in the playoffs right now who can put someone on him that will shut him down. He can score every time down the floor if he wanted to. I want to see him face Kobe Bryant in the finals and yes McArdle it will be like a Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan match up.

Happy Feet

The movie happy feet was on tv and i had it on in the background while i was doing homework. Then it caught my eye, happy feet has some stereotyping in it. for example the little penguins that follow the main character around are resembling Mexicans. They put a spanish accent to their english and another detail is they make the penguins shorter than the main character. This is a childrens movie yet it has stereotyping in it.

Butler Bulldogs

I dont know how many of you watched the game on saturday, but it was a great game! Butler has the national championship at their fingertips. UCONN will be tough to beat but Butler has done more than enough to prove themselves capable of beating them. Matt Howard is their "key" player, as ESPN says, and during the game saturday he got into foul trouble. The Bulldogs did not miss a beat even with him not in the game. For an opponent to watch that has to get them a little worried. I will definitely be cheering for Butler this Monday!

april fools day

i love april fools day. i love playing jokes on everyone! i used to have a reputation in high school for playing jokes on all the teachers. it got to the point where some of the teachers even tried to get me back on some pranks but that did not work well for them.

Final Four

My bracket is completely messed up. For one, i had ohio state winning the whole thing, now i believe butler is going to pull a national championship this year. they are a huge underdog but have been finding ways to win throughout the tournament. the game against florida was a great game and butler showed that they can beat top ranked teams.

Summer

This warm weather and the sun out everyday is making me that much more excited about summer. I cannot wait to be in 80-90 degree weather and not have to do any homework or studying. It is going to be so nice to be able to relax in about a month, even though i am going to be working two jobs.

March Madness

March Madness has finally started. So far i am not doing too bad messed up on a few games here and there no thanks to Louisville. I have Ohio State winning it all, and yes Butler is making another appearance in the Final Four this year.

Viruses

Viruses are so annoying. I was on my computer doing my english then boom, a virus decides it would be a good idea to delete everything. Talk about frustrating. I took it to the Geek Squad, who helped out a ton! Finally got my laptop back on virus free. I hate viruses.

All Star Dunk Contest

If you missed the NBA All Star Weekend, then you missed the dunk contest that was absolutely amazing. Blake Griffin pulled away with the victory with amazing dunks. His last dunk consisted of him jumping over the hood of a car! It was insane!

Super Bowl

Super Bowl Sunday is possibly the best Sunday ever. For this super bowl i would love to see the Packers get killed. I am a Chicago Bears fan. I cannot stand the Packers. I cant stand the Steelers either, but i rather watch them win the super bowl over the Packers anyday.

middle school game

My little brother is an 8th grader at Noblesville. He had his County tournament this past Saturday, and being a good big brother i went to watch him play. It was a great game as they played our rivals, Carmel. If you are from Carmel, I'm sorry. But anyway, my little brother steals the ball and gets a fast break. Thinking he was just going to lay it in, i was so surprised when he dunked it! He is an 8th grader and he dunked it! I am still in shock to what happened. I can't believe it.

Sister

Saturday night was my sisters senior night for high school basketball. It was really weird going to it knowing that just a year ago i was in her shoes. I was ending my senior year high school athletic career last year and i remember it being very bittersweet. It is amazing how fast time flies by. I remember every single detail about my senior night, and watching my sister go through it brought the whole memory back.

Speeding Ticket

On Wednesday, i went home to have lunch with my dad. On the way home i get pulled over by a police officer in a silver Mustang GT. I have never been pulled over before, so when he asked for my drivers license and registration i thought he was only going to give me a warning. I was so wrong. He gave me a speeding ticket. I am not upset about this ticket at all because of the car the officer drives.

Summer

Summer cannot come soon enough. I am so tired of the cold weather it is annoying. I can not wait to wear shorts outside and to hang out without shivering. I absolutely hate snow, it is only nice on Christmas Day. Outside of that it just gets annoying to deal with.

BEARS

Well, it was a good game. The Bears made a huge comeback which was a lot of fun to watch. Maybe next year Chicago. Even though i am disappointed that the Bears did not win and that the Packers are going to the Super Bowl, i am happy for the Packers.

First Weekend

For the first weekend back, i went with my fraternity to our headquarters in Kentucky. The experience was awesome seeing all the history behind our fraternity. It was also a lot of fun to hang out with many of my closest friends the whole weekend with no homework or tests or anything.

New Classes

With the first week done, I am feeling pretty confident in my classes. I'm still trying to adjust to the whole college deal, but the classes are getting a little easier to understand. I'm really looking forward to this semester in english 104. It shall be a great time!
