Global Warming

Global warming has been and will continue to be a major topic that is argued quite frequently.  Global warming to me is a pretty serious issue.  We have been dealing with global warming for a very long time, yet no country is willing to do anything about it. If we are going to sit here and complain about how this global warming is going to destroy our civilization then we should be doing something about it. If the government is not going to do anything about it, then it is up to all the scientists and citizens to act. It is not only our government that is sitting on their butts and not doing anything. It is all the countries around the world. I want to be able to grow up, have children of my own, and life long enough to see them grow up as well as my grand kids. This will not happen if this global warming takes over like all these scientists are predicting. To me, if you couldn’t tell already, global warming is an issue that I think needs to get dealt with so we do not have so many people complaining about it all the time. If scientists come out and have a new technology or renewable resources that are better for the environment, then I will be more than happy to try them.  This is not just about me though, this is about our future. This topic is about my generation’s grand kids. I strongly believe that we need to start finding a new resource that is better for the environment and works the same as the fuels we use now. Locally, I believe that the United States has the ability to find that resource and start putting it to use. We can be the first country to adapt to something new. I do not think that sitting down and playing the name game is getting absolutely anything done. As for other countries, if they do not want to help in the finding of a new resource, let that be. They can blame us all they want for being a major problem to global warming, but when we do find another outcome that is better than what we have now, those same countries are going to be at our feet asking us to use some. I have heard global warming and then I have heard that it has changed to global cooling. It does not matter to me what it is because to me it is our job to take care of this Earth that we are blessed with. We have done a pretty poor job of it so far, and it is about time that we take a stand and do something about it. We can fix this global warming issue so that our grand kids can enjoy their life and not have to worry about shortages.
